Who we are

This website is operated by gusnmabel.com ("we", "us", "our"). We run this store and website, including all related content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"), to provide you with a shopping experience. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing and disclosure of your personal information.

By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read this policy and understand how your information is collected, used and disclosed as described here.

Personal information we collect

"Personal information" means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live and what the law allows, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, shipping and billing addresses, phone number and email address.
  • Payment information: payment card details and transaction data, processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never store full card numbers on our own systems.
  • Account information: your login details, preferences and settings if you create an account.
  • Order information: the items you view, add to your cart, purchase, return or exchange, and your order history.
  • Communications: what you send us through the contact form, email or customer support, including any order number or attachments you include, and technical details of those messages (see "Customer support and AI assistance").
  • Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you navigate the Services, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Where it comes from

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our emails or contact us.
  • Automatically, from your device when you use the Services, through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers, when they collect or process information on our behalf (for example payment processing, email delivery, shipping and analytics).

How we use it

  • To provide the Services: process payments, fulfil and ship orders, handle returns and exchanges, manage your account, send order and shipping notifications and remember your preferences.
  • To communicate with you: answer your questions, provide customer support and maintain our relationship with you. To answer a message we use it together with your order history, with the help of an AI assistant (see "Customer support and AI assistance").
  • For marketing, where permitted: send news and offers by email if you subscribed; you can unsubscribe at any time from the link in every email.
  • For security and fraud prevention: authenticate accounts, detect and prevent fraudulent, illegal or malicious activity and secure the Services.
  • For legal reasons: comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process and enforce our terms and policies.

Customer support and AI assistance

When you email us, use our contact form or chat with our assistant on the contact page, we keep your message, any attachments, your email address and, if you give them, your name and order number. We also keep technical details of each message, such as email headers and the result of checks that an email really comes from the address it shows, and we use your IP address to limit abuse of the contact form and the chat. We use this information, together with your orders with us, to answer you.

We use an AI assistant, Claude, provided by Anthropic, to help us answer. When the assistant drafts a reply to your message, we send Anthropic:

  • the conversation: your new message, up to 20 earlier messages in the same conversation, and the date, subject and a short extract of our last reply from up to 5 earlier conversations with you;
  • your first name (or the name you typed in the form) and whether you have an account with us;
  • the details of your recent orders in this store (up to 10), such as order number, dates, items, order, payment and shipping status, total, shipping method, tracking numbers and tracking links, returns and refunds, and the city, region and country the order ships to.

When we can't confirm that a message comes from the owner of the email address, for example an email that fails our sender checks or a form message without an order number that matches the email typed, we send only the status and date of the orders placed with that address, plus the full details of an order the message names that belongs to that address.

In the chat on our contact page, the assistant answers you directly and every answer is shown as coming from it. We don't ask for your name; to look up an order, the chat asks for the order number and the email used for it, the same details our order-tracking page asks for. For each message we send Anthropic the chat so far (up to 12 earlier messages). Email addresses you type are replaced by a placeholder; anything else you write is sent as written. The assistant sees an order only after that order number and email match it, and then only that order's status, dates, items, shipping method and tracking. The chat never sends email. When a question needs a person, the chat says so and asks you to use the contact form; our team can read the chat. A cookie that is necessary for the chat connects your browser to it, and a chat ends after 24 hours without a message.

We don't send Anthropic your street address, postal code, phone number, payment card or payment method details, IP address, attachments or information about other customers, and we don't add your email address to what we send. What you write in a message is sent as you wrote it, so please don't include card numbers, passwords or other sensitive details.

Anthropic processes this information on our behalf, as our service provider (data processor), under its commercial terms and data processing addendum, which do not allow it to use the information to train its AI models. Anthropic states that it deletes this information within 30 days, unless it must keep it longer to comply with the law or to deal with misuse of its services.

Only two kinds of questions can get a reply from the assistant without a person reading it first: where your order is, and general questions before you buy, such as about our products, shipping, returns or payment options. Everything else, including requests for refunds, cancellations or returns, complaints and changes to an order, is answered by a member of our team, and by email a reply to an automatic answer never gets another automatic answer: our team sees it in our support tool.

By email, the assistant only sees orders placed with the email address you write from, and its replies go only to that address; in the chat, it sees only the one order you identified as described above. It may also mark a message that needs no answer, such as a thank-you note or spam, so that no reply is sent; our team can still see it.

Copies of the emails and contact-form messages you send us may also be delivered to our team's Gmail mailbox (Google); chat messages are not. Our email provider, Resend, stores the emails it sends and receives for us under its own retention settings.

We keep support conversations, including attachments, our replies and the assistant's drafts, for 18 months after the last message, then delete them. Mail we receive that is not a customer message, such as automatic replies, bounces, spam or mail to our other addresses, is deleted after 30 days. We keep a record of each assistant run for up to 13 months to track its cost and quality; the message text in it is removed after 90 days. Deleted information can remain in our encrypted backups for up to 400 days (about 13 months), until those backups expire.

You can ask us at any time to delete your support conversations by writing to [email protected]. We then delete them from our support tool and the copies in our team's mailbox; backups expire on the schedule above. If you chatted without giving an order number and email, tell us roughly when you chatted and what about, so we can find the chat.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work (your cart, your region and currency, your session, your chat with our assistant) and, where you allow it, analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the store from working.

How we share it

We share personal information only for legitimate purposes and only as needed:

  • With service providers who perform services on our behalf: payment processing (Stripe), hosting, email delivery (Resend), our team's email mailbox (Google), customer support tools including our AI assistant provider (Anthropic), analytics and shipping carriers.
  • With shipping carriers, so that your order can be delivered and tracked.
  • When you direct us to, or otherwise consent to a disclosure.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, financing or sale of assets.
  • To comply with legal obligations, respond to subpoenas or similar requests, enforce our terms, and protect the Services, our rights and the rights of others.

We do not sell your personal information.

Children's data

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] to request its deletion.

Security and retention

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold; no security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations and resolve disputes. Support messages are kept for the periods set out in "Customer support and AI assistance" above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, receive a portable copy, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time.

To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our service providers may be located outside the country where you live, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy here and update the "last updated" date, and notify you as required by law.
